1923 Martin 0-21

1923 Martin 0-21

Looking for a genuine pre-war Martin, of the type today often called “parlor size”? And at a tremendous bargain price? Here it is. From 1923, rock solid, plays like a dream and sounds like at least two. Full disclosure: It’s had a very professional refinish, looks gorgeous; the neck has been reset by parties unknown, perfectly neatly and at a perfect angle, both of which shocked me (I’m a known stickler for this stuff) though slightly off center (which did not shock me, see it all the time), though this is mostly visual for the nitpickers, it feels GREAT to play; there have been a few minor back cracks beautifully repaired years ago, which kind of thing will always show slightly with a new finish. The tuners and lovely pyramid-style bridge are original. It is set up with extra-light gauge steel strings and is extremely happy with them, feels just great and sings like a bird (I’m almost embarrassed to say that, but it’s true). Come and get it. You won’t find another pre-war Martin 12-fret, Brazilian rosewood guitar nearly this great or nearly this solid for twice the price. Comes with modern hard shell case. $1995 w/hsc
