1930s Kalamazoo KM-11

1930s Kalamazoo KM-11

During the Depression years, Gibson came out with a line of budget-priced instruments under the Kalamazoo name, and when you find one today that’s been beautifully kept and lovingly cared for you’ve got a real gem. The KM-11 model was a popular one back then, but rarely do we see one in this fine condition.  We originally found and sold this particular one in 1969 or ’70 and it was just brought back to us, by the same purchaser, virtually untouched since then. It is 100% original in every way, even the finish has barely got a scratch on it. The tone is still just as sweet, the action is as wonderful as the day it was made, and I don’t think another mandolin nearly this charming can be found at twice the price. Only $699 w/bag
