Old European Harp Guitar

Old European Harp Guitar

Here’s one, up from the depths of 273 Bleecker Street, hasn't seen the light of day in at least thirty-five years. It’s surely European (possibly Italian), loaded with wild marquetry and fabulous carving of the pegheads (both of 'em!), and heel of the neck, in a fantastic leafy pattern. Both necks still have all of their original tuning machines (all ten if ‘em!) intact and working with genuine bone or possibly ivory buttons; there are also a few original ivory bridge pins with pearl inlay. The body has maybe seen some better days, crack, sorta coming off somewhere and no apologies for that. It’s a beautiful piece, either as a project for a luthier or lutiher-to-be, or as an early European decorative item, and it’s appropriately priced at only $595 as is.
