1964 Gibson LG-3/4

1964 Gibson LG-3/4

I’ve always seen these called LG-2 3/4, but LG-2s have a sunburst finish and this one most surely does not, is about the best-looking early-mid 1960s natural top/red back and sides Gibson I’ve ever seen, ever. Based on Gibson’s original body shapes from the 1930s and eventually expanded into the J-200, they came out with this wonderful small version in the early 50s. This is the first I’ve seen as late as 1964, may have been a custom order, is so solidly made, just like all they did at that time. In absolutely beautiful original condition, still shiny after more than fifty years, with not an issue to be found anywhere. The elevation screws have been removed from the saddle in the interest of action and the guitar sounds better for it too. And the colors! Best Dark Cherry Red with best Toned Top coloration combo ever, a true knockout, in every way. You will fall in love, if you haven’t already. $2495 w/ossc
