A somewhat unusual 1967 Gretsch Tennessean, with thumbprint inlays on both edges of the fingerboard; go figure. Either it was a special order guitar, maybe with a Monkees model fingerboard, or someone at Gretsch was hung over that day, who could know. Real deal is that this is a terrific period Gretsch, got all the important original stuff: pickups, internal wiring and controls, frets, tuners (maybe not the pickguard, hard to tell and prolly doesn't matter), and with a Gibson Tune-o-Matic bridge, obviously a vast improvement over the wobbly original. Great neck, no fitting issues, minor Gretsch binding stuff taken care of by our own boys and nice and nice and solid. Wonderful Beatles-era piece and a real hot and reliable player too. Original silver-gray hard shell case.
