1960 Gibson ES-125

1960 Gibson ES-125

This is the nicest ES-125 we’ve seen in quite a while, especially since it’s got that very cool neck contour, rare for these, the slightly wider, slightly shallower around the back shape usually found only on the high-end ES-335s of the period. You will technically be the third owner of this fine Gibson but in reality only the second to play it. It was gotten from its original owner years later by a classical guitarist who didn’t really have much use for it and its original owner barely ever touched it, so it's still in its original, near-pristine condition. Not one bit of fret wear, really nice Brazilian rosewood fingerboard, original finish immaculate, Gibson Tune-O-Matic bridge with Brazilian rosewood base. Original Kluson tuners, tortoise pickguard, Gibson tailpiece; in short, the works, all original and all there. And that fabulous early P-90 pickup, just can’t be beat for tone and clarity. All gone over and set up right here in our own workshop with an .011 set with wound G, exactly the way it’s sposeta be. Still has its original Gibson brown alligator chipboard case too. $ 1795 w/ossc
