2009 Triggs Archtop

2009 Triggs Archtop

From the renowned maker of archtop guitars, Jim Triggs of Lawrence, Kansas, comes this beautiful custom-built guitar made in 2009 with 17”-wide body and 3” depth. I’ve known Jim Triggs personally since the 1980s-90s, when he helped create Gibson’s Custom Shop in Nashville and was responsible for some of the most intricate, wildest, and fabulous designs they’ve ever had. The finish on this guitar is a stunning Lake Placid Blue, perfectly done, and with its 1-11/16" nut width, 25-1/2” scale and smooth low-action setup, this guitar plays as smooth as silk. It originally had a single Seymour Duncan Humbucker and has since been upgraded with a pair of pickups by Jason Lollar with the one in the bridge position floating, Johnny-Smith-style. Per the wishes of the original owner, there is a single volume control only, with a selector switch for the pickups. The original Duncan pickup is included, along with its original silver Pearloid pickguard. Originally a $4,000 guitar, it is being offered at a super-bargain price due to a peghead repair, professionally done, without touchup. A matching blue strap with Strap Locks and a professional-grade gig bag are also included. $1295 w/bag
