National Vintage Tricone 2003

The coolest of the cool in a steel-bodied National, the Vintage Tricone. The National Reso-Phonic Company of San Luis Obisbo, California, for the last several years has been making the best Nationals ever. Best built, best sounding, and best lookin’ by far. The current company is small, instruments are so carefully built, and it can be a very long wait to get a new one of these. The Vintage Tricone model has all of exactly what it says it has: beautiful vintage satin finish, top-shelf components like a perfect ebony fingerboard, real-deal Ivoroid peghead overlay with the National “shield" emblem engraved right on it, matching Ivoroid fingerboard binding and heel cap, those cool mother-of-pearl ”diamond” fingerboard inlays, and best of all……THREE, count ‘em THREE, resonator cones so's it'll be LOUD. In wonderful nearly-unplayed condition with virtuality no fret wear, specially ordered new at my store over twenty years ago and put away by its original owner, just like that.
