A perfect tenor banjo from 1925 for someone who wants a professional grade instrument to play but without the high cost usually accompanying these, and also can be a great backup banjo. Paramount, as many of you know, was a top-of-the line banjo in the 1920-30s and this Leader model is right up there in their fanciness department, with that fab, engraved mother-of-pearl floral pattern on the peghead and images of little bells and such inlaid on the fingerboard. And it has the volume, the tone, and the action of the best. It suffered some shipping damage years ago resulting in a minor heel crack which has been repaired by us to invisibility. Some edges of the purfling on the back edges of the resonator got a bit roughed-up at that time, bits missing and have been left alone, resonator structurally 100%. Playability, action, all set up by us right here and ready to go, with the original frets having very little wear. A bargain of a pre-war, way cool, great, LOUD tenor banjo. Original hard shell case is included. $495 w/ohsc
